The results are in for the 2017 Saskatchewan in Motion Go Out & Play Challenge. Evergreen Community Association logged 193,634 physical activity minutes over the 10-day challenge, earning second place.
The winning community association was Saskatoon’s Lakeridge Community Association with a whopping 406,262 physical activity minutes. We congratulate that community on winning $10,000 for the second phase of its school playground project.
While the Evergreen Community fell short of the grand prize goal for our neighbourhood playgrounds, we can be proud of the participation.
“Evergreen truly came together through the Go Out & Play Challenge,” said ECA’s new Interim President Laura Monchuk. “It was great to see neighbours encouraging one another, positive support from local businesses and so many people being physically active in the community. These are all successes we can build upon as we continue to develop our new community and as we reach for the grand prize goal again next year.”
Thanks to all who participated in the challenge!
